In recent years, the topic of fire protection for rail vehicles has gained in importance.
The reasons for this are, on the one hand, new international rules and guidelines and, on the other hand, experience gained during fire incidents. Rail vehicles make complex demands on fire protection. Railcars, switch cabinets, passenger compartments and electrical equipment in the underfloor area must be taken into account.
What is required is an integrative fire protection concept that includes both fast and deceptive alarm-proof detection and automatic fire fighting. The safety of passengers and personnel always has the highest priority.
