Individual fire protection solutions from one source

The WAGNER Group GmbH, located in Langenhagen near Hanover, has been developing and implementing technical fire protection systems since 1976 and has established itself internationally as an innovative solution and system provider. In the field of preventive fire protection, WAGNER is one of the technology leaders worldwide and covers the complete service portfolio for its customers from the development of tailor-made solutions, planning and installation to the maintenance of fire protection systems.

In 1998, WAGNER made its start in the field of fire protection for rail vehicles with the customer project Transrapid Emsland. Today our solutions for very early fire detection, fire fighting and fire extinguishing are used worldwide: for example in the new ICE of Deutsche Bahn, in trains of the Indian state railroad as well as in the following projects: Caltrain (USA), Aeroexpress Moscow, Thameslink UK, Metro Kuala Lumpur, Metro Munich, the subway in Glasgow, in regional trains of Abellio East Anglia (England) and the Rhaetian Railway (Switzerland).

WAGNER has responded to the steady growth of the rail industry and the increasing demand for comprehensive fire protection solutions for rail vehicles by founding WAGNER Rail GmbH: since December 1, 2016, the wholly-owned subsidiary of WAGNER Group GmbH in Munich has been serving its customers from the rail transport and mobile applications segment worldwide. In addition to Dr. Markus Müller and Dr. Peter Stahl, the management of WAGNER Rail GmbH will be complemented by Bernhard Weindl from 01.10.2023. The aim is to jointly drive forward the expansion and further development of WAGNER Rail GmbH in line with the corporate strategy WAGNER.2026.

In the course of the strategic reorientation of the company and the sustainable development of the Rail business, WAGNER Rail Schweiz GmbH was founded on January 01, 2021. Since its foundation, the management of WAGNER Rail Schweiz GmbH has been held by Dr. Markus Müller and Dr. Peter Stahl.
